Toddler Curriculum

Our Toddler curriculum offers a holistic learning experience in a Christ-centered, Spanish immersion environment. It supports children's spiritual, academic, and social development, fostering bilingual language skills and strong Christian values. The curriculum includes immersive language activities, Bible stories, and faith-based lessons that promote love, kindness, and respect. It also focuses on cognitive growth through early literacy and math, social-emotional learning, physical development, and cultural awareness. This balanced approach nurtures the whole child, preparing them for future success while fostering a love for both faith and language.

Toddler Routine

At Agape the routine for toddlers is designed to provide structure, spiritual growth, and language development, all while fostering a love for learning and faith. Here’s an overview of a typical day for this age group:

Morning Welcome & Prayer
The day begins with a warm welcome from caregivers, followed by a short prayer to invite God’s presence and blessings. Children are encouraged to greet one another, fostering a sense of community and belonging.

Language Immersion
Toddlers and preschoolers are immersed in both Spanish and English throughout the day. Caregivers incorporate both languages into daily activities, such as during circle time, songs, and guided play, helping children develop language skills naturally in a bilingual setting.

Bible Stories & Christian Values
Each day includes Bible stories, prayers, and Christian songs that teach foundational values like love, kindness, honesty, and respect. These spiritual lessons are integrated into activities and interactions, helping children develop a strong moral foundation from an early age.

Circle Time & Interactive Learning
Circle time is an interactive session where children gather to engage in songs, games, and language exercises. Topics vary but focus on foundational skills like numbers, colors, shapes, and letters, all while incorporating both English and Spanish.

Learning Through Play
Hands-on activities are a big part of the day, with children encouraged to explore and discover through play. These activities might include building blocks, sensory bins, art projects, or imaginative play, fostering creativity and cognitive development.

Snack & Meal Time
During snack and meal times, children enjoy healthy meals and snacks while continuing to practice social skills, such as sharing and taking turns. Caregivers speak in both languages during meals to reinforce language development in a natural setting.

Outdoor Play & Physical Activity
Physical play is encouraged daily, whether it’s outdoor play on the playground or indoor movement activities. This time supports physical development, coordination, and motor skills while giving children the chance to burn off energy.

Nap or Rest Time
After a busy morning, children are given a quiet time to rest or nap. This helps them recharge for the remainder of the day. Caregivers ensure each child is comfortable and secure, fostering a peaceful, nurturing environment for rest.

Creative & Group Activities
In the afternoon, children engage in group activities such as arts and crafts, music, or themed learning experiences. These activities encourage teamwork, creativity, and the application of new skills in a fun, supportive setting.

Closing Circle & Prayer
The day ends with a closing circle where children reflect on the day’s activities. A brief prayer is said to thank God for the day, followed by a warm goodbye as children prepare to leave, feeling loved, safe, and spiritually nourished.

This daily routine helps toddlers and preschoolers grow in both faith and language while developing essential social, emotional, and cognitive skills. It combines learning, play, and Christian values in a balanced and nurturing environment.
